Frequently Asked
Questions
How long does window film take to install?
It depends on several factors, including the size of your home. Once we schedule a job, however, we work tirelessly to complete it within the agreed upon time. Your Layr Window Film representative will help you establish a timeframe based on the scope of the work required.
Will window film make our home interior too dark?
Not at all. Many of our films are virtually clear and protect as well or better than dark standard window films, and options range from clear to tinted. Our residential specialist will help you find the perfect solution for your home.
How long does the window film last?
The intended use and construction of a given window film will determine its warranty and life expectancy. The standard warranty range for commercial applications is 10-15 years, and most of our 3M Window Films easily outlast their warranty period. In recent years the technology has advanced to the point where we expect newer window films to last 20 years or more.
